Is Illume Bible free?
Yes, Illume Bible offers a free tier with access to Bible reading, daily devotionals, and 5 AI Ask queries per day. Premium subscriptions unlock unlimited AI queries, unlimited text-to-speech, and advanced features.
Which Bible translations are available?
We support the King James Version (KJV), World English Bible (WEB), World English Bible Catholic (WEBC), Chinese Union Version Simplified (CUVS), and Chinese Union Version Traditional (CUVT).
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Core Bible reading works fully offline after the initial download. AI features such as Ask and Today content require an internet connection.
How do I manage my subscription?
Subscriptions can be managed through the Settings tab in the app. For Google Play subscriptions, you can also manage them through the Google Play Store under your account subscriptions.
How does the AI ensure Scripture accuracy?
All AI responses are grounded in explicit Bible verses. We use a hybrid retrieval system combining semantic search, lexical matching, and curated themes. The AI never invents content — it only synthesizes from actual Scripture passages.
Which devices are supported?
Illume Bible is available for Android 5.0 (API level 21) and later. iOS support is coming soon. We recommend 2GB of RAM and 500MB of storage for offline Bible access.
